What is a contact adhesive? Deep Dive into Tremco’s SF115 Contact Adhesive

Understanding Contact Adhesives:
Contact adhesives are generally applied using a ‘V’ notched trowel and allowed to dry before application. With some rubber floor coverings, it is recommended that the adhesive is applied to the floor with the ‘V’ notched trowel and to the back of the rubber with a flat spreader. For vertical surface, a bristle brush application may be convenient. This enables a strong bond to form between the two surfaces. Tremco’s SF115 Contact adhesive is ideal in those difficult situations where a normal adhesive is unsuitable, which sets it apart from alternative adhesives. It adheres well to non-porous surfaces and can also be applied directly to dry (Below 75%RH) concrete and sand and cement which are fully cured and free from laitance. Subfloor which are above 75% RH or have no structural Damp Proof Membrane must incorporate a suitable Tremco Surface Damp Proof Membrane.
